The Southern Comfort Soiree

The Objective
As part of BankOnPurpose 2024, Q2 hosted the Southern Comfort Soiree - an intimate customer appreciation event designed to extend the conference experience into an evening of connection and hospitality. Held at Mattie’s in Austin, Texas, the event embraced a refined Southern aesthetic, bringing together curated experiences including a whiskey tasting, cigar rolling station, Kendra Scott color bar pop-up, live music, and a seated dinner, all set against the unique backdrop of Mattie’s grounds—complete with peacocks roaming the property. The goal was to create a relaxed, elevated environment that encouraged meaningful conversation and memorable moments.

My Role
I supported the planning and execution of the Southern Comfort Soirée through close collaboration with Q2’s events team. My involvement included multiple site visits to Mattie’s, coordinating logistics and design considerations with the venue’s event staff, and providing feedback across all aesthetic decisions for the event, from signage and layout to environmental details and florals. On-site, I partnered with the event lead to set up signage and finalize the event layout, ensuring the experience felt cohesive, welcoming, and true to the intended tone.
